Hi- I’m Mike!

My path into event planning didn't start with seating charts and timelines — it started in the kitchen. That world taught me something I've carried into everything since: hospitality isn't about perfection, it's about people. It's anticipating a need before it's spoken, reading the energy of a room, and making everyone in it feel genuinely cared for.

I created Soul Speak Events because I believe planning should feel less like a transaction and more like a partnership — one built on trust, clear communication, and a real understanding of who you are and what matters to you. Whether it's an intimate wedding or a polished corporate gathering, my goal is the same: to handle the details with care so you can be fully present for the moments that count.

Behind the story.

I'm a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and I spent years in the kitchens and in the dining rooms of some of Boston's most respected restaurants, including No. 9 Park, Sportello, and Northern Spy.

As the Events & Venue Coordinator at two different full-service catering and wedding venues, I helped bring countless celebrations to life, from the first tour to the final toast. Through it all, one moment kept drawing me back: when a couple finally exhales, looks around, and gets to simply enjoy the day they dreamed about.

When I'm not planning events, you'll usually find me experimenting with a new tiki cocktail recipe, exploring a New England antique market, or going on hikes with my wife Amanda and our two dogs, Korra and Fern.

WARM. COLLABORATIVE. MEMORABLE. THAT’S NOT TAGLINE - IT’S HOW I WANT EVERY PERSON WHO WORKS WITH SOUL SPEAK TO FEEL.
